Sanjay J. Dhebar is an accomplished strategist, governance professional, executive educator, author, and trusted advisor with more than 20 years of experience helping leaders strengthen organizational performance and translate strategy into measurable results.
As a Faculty Member at Veritas Institute, Sanjay designs and delivers executive workshops focused on strategic thinking, leadership, governance, decision-making, organizational alignment, change leadership, and strategy execution. His highly applied approach equips executives and leadership teams with practical frameworks to navigate complexity, establish clear priorities, align stakeholders, and move decisively from strategy to implementation.
Sanjay is the Managing Partner of Leonnova and an award-winning educator at the Schulich School of Business, York University. His teaching brings together academic rigour, evidence-based management principles, real-world case studies, and practical exercises that leaders can immediately apply within their organizations. He has taught and delivered keynote presentations to leaders internationally across a broad range of sectors and industries.
He also brings direct knowledge of the security services sector, having served for several years as a strategic advisor to a Canadian security services organization. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the sector’s workforce-intensive operating environment, client expectations, competitive pressures, risk considerations, and the importance of disciplined execution. This perspective enables Sanjay to connect broader leadership and business principles to the operational realities facing security executives and their organizations.
A graduate of the ICD–Rotman Directors Education Program, Sanjay holds the ICD.D designation. His governance experience includes serving as Board Chair of Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office and as a director with Toronto Metropolitan University and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
Sanjay is the creator of The Business Workout, an applied methodology for strengthening strategy execution and team alignment, and the author of Toolbox for Performance-Driven Leaders. He is also a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award in recognition of his contributions to community service.
