His early formation in the Chilean Navy Special Forces instilled the precision, resilience, and mission-focused mindset that continue to define his approach today. Over the years, he has applied these principles across Canada and internationally, supporting organizations with threat and risk assessments, counterterrorism strategies, CPTED audits, systems design, and client advisory engagements.
Beyond his operational expertise, Dave has made significant contributions to professional education. As a senior leader with Paradigm Professional Institute (PPI), he helped drive global expansion across four continents, strengthening the organization’s academic footprint and industry relevance. He developed and delivered advanced training programs, including specialized courses in threat and risk assessment that have supported the continuing education of professionals across multiple sectors.
Dave has also been instrumental in building strategic academic partnerships. He worked closely with major Canadian universities to certify and accredit professional courses, ensuring that security practitioners have access to credible, academically recognized pathways for advancement. His leadership in developing white-label training solutions has enabled organizations across North America to access customized, cost-effective learning programs tailored to their operational realities.
His professional credentials include Certified Enterprise Security Professional (CESP), Certified Protection Officer Instructor (CPOI), CPTED Levels 1 and 2, Emergency Management Program certification, and Genetec Consultant, Designer, and Engineer Program Levels 1 and 2. He also holds the Certified Client Service Specialist (CCSS) designation, reflecting his commitment to service excellence and client-centered leadership.
