Dr. Haniyeh Yousofpour is a Harvard alumna, award-winning business professor, and accomplished executive educator who advises boards and senior leadership teams on governance and organizational performance. With a doctorate in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour and an MBA in Finance, she brings scholarly rigour and financial insight to the complex decisions leaders face.
She joins Veritas Institute’s global faculty team as a Faculty Member, where she will develop and deliver executive workshops and leadership development programs focused on governance, strategic negotiation, organizational behaviour, and ethical decision-making. Drawing on her expertise in emotional intelligence, her approach helps leaders understand how their decisions and behaviours influence team effectiveness and organizational performance.
As Managing Partner at Leonnova Inc., a Canadian training and consulting firm, Dr. Yousofpour advises boards and leadership teams on organizational alignment, effective governance, and strategic negotiation. Her consulting combines the process discipline of Six Sigma and project management with a coaching approach that strengthens how leaders and teams work together.
Dr. Yousofpour teaches graduate-level courses at York University’s Schulich School of Business and McMaster University, with a teaching portfolio spanning leadership, organizational behaviour, negotiation, and governance. Her international experience includes teaching and delivering executive programs across the Middle East, Europe, and South America. She works across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, adapting her teaching to the institutional and cultural contexts in which leaders operate.
Her work also includes extensive engagement with Indigenous communities and organizations across Canada. She designs programs that respect local context and build lasting organizational capacity, bringing an understanding of different leadership perspectives and community priorities to her educational practice.
Dr. Yousofpour holds the ICD.D designation through the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Management. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP), is Six Sigma certified, and is a certified emotional intelligence coach. These qualifications complement her academic expertise with practical disciplines for governance, organizational improvement, and leadership development.
Her public service includes membership on Ontario’s Premier’s Council on Equality of Opportunity, which advises on helping young people succeed in the province’s changing economy. She is also a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award in recognition of her community service and commitment to education.
